The Popeyes Chicken Sandwich, a.k.a. The Sandwich, sold out right after we launched it.

So, we decided to bring it back on National Sandwich Day – Sunday, November 3rd.

Yes. On a Sunday. 

The only day of the week itss biggest competitors,

Chick-Fil-A were famously closed.

And, we went viral. Again.

Everything started with a viral video of a Popeyes employee applying a sticker on a highway traffic sign.

 

 

 

We launched full-page prints in the New York Times The Sandwich's comeback. On a Sunday. 

 

We also ran digital OOH ads in Times Square (NYC) to announce the The Sandwich was back in the stores. On a Sunday.

But we also made clear that, yes, The Sandwich was coming back on a Sunday, but it was still available the rest of the days. Including Sundays.
